After earning his M.B.A. from Maharishi University of Management, Roth founded Community Marketing & Insights (CMI) in 1992. Then in 1998, Roth and his team founded the Travel Advocacy Group, whose TAG Approved Accommodations program consists of over 1,000 member hotel properties worldwide that qualify based on best practices in welcoming LGBT guests. Roth currently heads up custom research studies and provides strategic consulting for a variety of market leaders in tourism, hospitality, retail, finance, pharmaceutical, beverages, government, and other industries, and conducts LGBT marketing and best practices training for corporations and organizations.
Roth dedicates his volunteer time at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. teaching Transcendental Meditation to people living with HIV.
